papePOOR

(indention) Poverty can be considered as a heavy word. By that, I imply that it is a crucial term. In the early days, our dear Philippines was appreciated by many countries, especially the Western ones. Our own motherland has been given many names and one of which is: “Pearl of the East”. Foreigners claimed that our country is rich in natural resources. However, despite all of these things, why are we plagued with serious major problems regarding poverty? Who is/are to be blamed? What are the causes of it? These are just mere questions but they are vital.

(indention) We have learned from our lessons that the following are the roots of poverty: corrupt government system and officials, unemployment, poor work ethics (laziness), and inactive participation of the mass. These are just a few of the many causes.

(indention) It is US, humans, who are to be blamed. I do not stick with the idea that only government leaders and the ones who are in the positions are the ones to be blamed. Even you and I myself should also be blamed. Whenever there arises economic tribulation, we keep on putting the blame to the government immediately. We do not check ourselves. Have we done something good? Are we doing our part? Are we on the right track? We depend on the actions of the government and when it seems that they cannot do any progress, then there, we start complaining.

(indention) As for me, for a country to be progressive, everybody should move and work. It is not only the responsibility of those who were elected to mind the country's condition. It is everybody’s responsibility. GOOD NEWS! There are youngsters of today's generation who are actively participating to give solutions on the present problems of our nation. I just hope that all of us will also be engaged and be like them.

you're DYING!

(indention) SECURITY is a very crucial word. It entails many efforts and must be taken seriously by each individual.

(indention) Sad to say, there have been latest updates concerning the security of humanity. There were news telling that bombs were being exploded throughout the Mindanao region, especially the areas where Muslims are dominant. I feel sad because I know that people will have wrong notions toward MUSLIM people. Nevertheless, all we can do right now, is to be vigilant and keen. We must be alert all the time. Observe the actions of the people around us. Have an advocacy also telling the mass that we should help one another in stopping these bombings and threats. We should not just stay at home. We must do something.

for a pessimist, i'm optimist

Well, let's see.

(indention) If people who are fond of listening to music and reading books are called music-lovers and bookworms respectively, what about those for watching movies?
(movie-lovers? movie-worms?) hahaha. never mind. =D

(indention) I am not just a bookworm. I am a certified addict in watching motion pictures. Most especially, the foreign ones. MOVIE for me is just like a book. Like in reading a book, watching a movie is like exploring into a new world. Through it, you also learn new things and understand more notions of life. You are able to reflect and respond.

(indention) I certainly, am not an avid fan of local films, although I am a true-blooded Filipino.
I just find Pinoy films kind of corny and incompetent. That's my point of view. However, I am not pointing out that I would never dare to watch Pinoy movies. I do watch and I rarely appreciate the quality of the films.

(indention) The types of movies that I would love to watch are horror films and the tragic ones. Horror because I am very curious about the paranormal world. On the other hand, tragedy, because I love heartrending stories. I don't believe in the adage, "everything ends with a happy ending". Yep. Because I am not an optimistic person.

-- SHE is MOM

(indention) SHE can be considered as the greatest gift of all.
The most essential one.
We learn a lot of things from her, even those that we can't gain from school. SHE provides our needs for our own good and even our wants. SHE makes us feel comfortable and protected. A person who is willing to lend a helping hand and a shoulder to cry on. This woman will try all her efforts to make things easier for us and will already be happy if she'll see a smile on our faces.
When you are upset and feeling blue, SHE too is experiencing the same. And sometimes, SHE worries more.

(indention) Bloggers, the SHE that I've been talking to is no other than our MOM.
See how we are so cared by our moms? ;)

(indention) But, what is the reason why we are treated this way?

Two words-- TRUE LOVE.

(indention) I feel blessed that my mom is always there for me. Whenever, I need and want something, she'll try to give it to me. She is my true friend.
I can still remember the time when she said to me that mothers are not only moms. They do not just do household chores or work for a living. They can also be your true friend. She said that to me when I was on my second grade and I was sobbing that time because I didn't like the drawing that I drew. It was full of erasures and is different from the thing that I was planning to draw. It was like a trash. (really!)

Although moms are still imperfect beings; to me they are GREAT and SUPERB!
(Try to be one if you're not yet convinced.)

well, I hope you got something from me.
Thanx. Keep on posting your comments. =x

ME? a BOOKworm?

Me? A BOOKWORM?

---BOOKWORM?
(indention) The dictionary defines this 8 letter word as a term referring to people who are fond of reading books and studying.

(indention) To be honest, I consider myself as a bookworm. I READ every spare time of mine. It can be a school book, a magazine maybe, an article or periodical, novel (of any kind), and etc. I read almost anything, any kind that is interesting and benefits me as well. Even when I've gotten loads of works and chores to finish, I still find ways even just to scan any reading material that is full of knowledge. But I am not one person who is kind of "nerd" and tries to be the GENIUS one, reaching to the point that he/she knows almost everything around the world and all about the cycle and notions of life (everything huh?). I don't feel to be that kind of person. Being a simple one but is gifted with sense and unique abilities is enough with me. The term "geeky" is also acceptable. (laughing out) :D

(indention) There are certain reasons why an individual spends time on reading. As for my case, the very reason why I love to read is because, through it, I am able to experience soul-searching and feel the following: silence, focus and will. (REALLY! swear!) Try to ask my peers. Every time I grab something that is readable, the "jamx" (or dindi and toinx to some) transforms. Accordingly, I become serious (because normally, I am weird when I'm with them). Secondly, reading, for me, is like an exploration. Through it, you are able to know lots of things and explore new bits of knowledge , even just in one seating. You become aware of many things, as if you are exploring into a new world! And lastly, it is like a service. Through it, you could share the pieces of information that you have just gained to the people surrounding you.

(indention) I know, that to many, reading is like a boring activity. But, once they learn to appreciate the thought of being a "bookworm" and get engaged into regular reading, the said activity will not be termed as "boring" anymore.

(indention) In a nutshell, I am a bookworm and I highly encourage everybody to get their selves into reading and learning. Have a passion for learning. Think of this: You just don't gain, you also pay forward. Hope you got what I mean by that. ;)
